About me
"Amidst the noise, I find my peace.
Almost like warmth, not visible but can be felt.
And through my glances , beauty seems to be ubiquitous.
Light is my element, textures are my tools and darkness my eternal ally.
Through moving images I strive to convey the purest emotions."
Ever since I was nine, I’ve been captivated by the magic of storytelling on screen, so much so that I’d watch my favourite films on repeat, every single day for a month. What started as a quirky childhood obsession soon crystallised into a lifelong ambition, filmmaking is not just my craft, but my second language.
My work has taken me out of my hometown Singapore, to Hong Kong, Canada, Taiwan and beyond, my short film Hong Gan won both Best International and People’s Choice at the Toronto Student Short Film Festival, and since then, my films have screened at festivals around the world. I thrive at the intersection of narrative and visual poetry, always looking for new ways to challenge form and find fresh emotional ground. I must admit that I tell stories that blend witty humour with moral complexity, encouraging people to reflect while being entertained.
I’m based in Hong Kong, but my creative passport is always up to date. I'm eager to connect with fellow creatives who believe in the power of film to move, provoke, and inspire. If you’re looking for a Director who brings both technical skill and boundless curiosity to the table, let’s make something unforgettable together.
